    Pick your board

    Browse the boards above and choose the one that matches your skill level and the conditions you're heading into. Not sure? Call us at (843) 884-1035 and we'll point you in the right direction.

    Book and pay online

    Select your dates, pay the rental fee, and sign the liability waiver. You'll get a confirmation email with everything you need before you arrive.

  • 03
    Pick up at the shop

    Bring your ID to Parrot Surf & Skate on Coleman Blvd. We'll pull your board and get you out the door fast.

  • 04
    Return and ride again

    Drop the board back by the end of your rental period. Deposit released same day on a clean return. Need more time? Call ahead and we'll extend it.

FAQ

Common questions

No experience required for our beginner boards. The Sweet Potato and Dominator Pro are designed for first-timers — high volume, easy to paddle, stable underfoot. If you've never surfed before, we'd recommend pairing your rental with a lesson so you get the most out of your session.
Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island are the closest breaks — about 15–20 minutes from the shop. Folly Beach is roughly 40 minutes and usually has more consistent surf. All three are solid depending on the swell and your skill level.
A valid photo ID is required at pickup. Have your confirmation email ready on your phone. Fins are included with every board. Leashes and soft racks for car transport are available at the shop if you need them.
A $50 refundable security deposit is collected at checkout. It's held on your card and released in full when the board comes back in the same condition. Nothing is charged unless there's damage — in that case we'll walk you through it before any amount is collected.
Our minimum rental period is one full day. Day rates cover a 24-hour period from pickup. Most guests find they want more water time than they expected — the daily rate is still your best move for a morning session.
Late returns are charged at the applicable daily rate. If you think you'll need more time, call us or stop by ahead of your return date and we can extend your rental.
We don't currently offer wetsuit rentals, but we carry a full selection for purchase in the shop and online. Water temps in Charleston stay above 70°F from late spring through fall — most guests surf without one in summer.
