ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
Chris’s first pro graphic features a skeleton bursting out of a jack in the box — a bold metaphor for breaking free from limitations and embracing authenticity. It represents the idea of thinking outside the box, stepping out of your comfort zone, and owning who you are. Created in collaboration with VCJ, the design captures the raw feeling of self-discovery and transformation. Chris’s hope is that his graphic invites skaters to recognize each other, spark conversations, and build community, especially for those who might feel unseen or out of place.

Unbeknownst to both Chris and Court, the graphic would take on an even deeper meaning. Court was in the middle of designing the piece when he experienced a heart attack — a shocking event that mirrored the image he was drawing: a Jack in the Box, heart at its center, radiating outward. What started as a playful idea became a raw, symbolic reflection of life’s unpredictability, and a reminder of how art, emotion, and experience are often more connected than we realize.

Product Description

The Powell Peralta Pro Chris Hiett Skull FLIGHT Skateboard Deck in Purple combines distinctive Bones Brigade-inspired artwork with Powell Peralta's innovative FLIGHT construction. Measuring 8.5" wide by 31.20" long, this pro model offers a stable, responsive platform for skaters who want durability and performance for street, park, and transition skating.

Powell Peralta FLIGHT decks use a reinforced construction designed to provide strength and resilience in a thinner profile than many traditional 7-ply maple decks. This construction helps deliver responsive pop and improved resistance to breaking, making it a compelling option for skaters who want a durable deck for demanding sessions.

Featuring Chris Hiett's signature Skull graphic in a striking purple colorway, this deck pairs performance-focused construction with bold skateboarding style. Its 8.5" width offers a comfortable platform for technical tricks, ramps, bowls, and everyday skating, with plenty of room for stable foot placement and confident landings.

Whether you're upgrading your current setup or building a new board, the Powell Peralta Pro Chris Hiett Skull FLIGHT Deck delivers a combination of distinctive graphics, proven skate heritage, and modern deck technology.
