Frequently Asked Questions
Do Rainbow Sandals run true to size?
Generally yes, but Rainbow sizes by foot length rather than standard shoe size — S fits roughly 6–7, M fits 7–8, L fits 8–9, and XL fits 9–10. If you're between sizes, go up. See our full Rainbow Sandals Sizing Guide for detailed charts.
What is the difference between the Hemp Flirty Braidy and the leather Flirty Braidy?
The style is identical — same braided strap design, same single-layer arch support, same Rainbow construction. The difference is the material. The leather Flirty Braidy uses premier nubuck leather that molds to your foot over about two weeks and develops a rich patina. The hemp version uses natural hemp fibers — lighter, more breathable, water-friendly, and leather-free. Great for beach use or anyone who wants a more natural, casual material.
Are Rainbow hemp sandals good for the beach and water?
Yes — hemp is a much better choice than leather if you'll be getting your sandals wet. Hemp is naturally durable, quick-drying, and won't suffer the dye bleeding or adhesive issues that leather can experience with prolonged water exposure. Still best to let them air dry fully after a wet day.
Are Rainbow Sandals worth the price?
Most customers think so — and the math works out. A pair of Rainbow Sandals typically lasts 5–10 years with regular wear, and Rainbow backs every pair with a lifetime guarantee. Parrot Surf & Skate has been an authorized Rainbow retailer since 2000, so you're getting the real thing with full warranty support.
