The Firewire Groove is a Rob Machado high-performance thruster with a hybrid feel, made to turn square off the bottom and off the lip with more speed control than his recent shapes.

It is built for waist-high to overhead waves with some push, but still works in weaker surf thanks to the extra width and thickness up front.
