Designed specifically for Kani "Tsunami" Stewart, who placed 2nd in the world riding this model, the Tsunami is a standout noserider. Its subtle tail flip and wide tail block are engineered for extended, levitating noserides deep in the pocket—without the need for a nose concave. The tail curves also allow this board to turn remarkably well, even with its wide profile. Ideal for surf in the 1–2 foot to double overhead range, it has quickly become one of the most popular models in the Kai Sallas lineup.
A great fin choice for the Tsunami is Sallas X Kani. The 10" works well on all size boards, with the option to size down to 9.5" for the 9'2" and 9'4", or up to 10.5" for the 9'6" and 9'8". Another solid option is the Sallas Spiral — run 9" or 9.5" on the 9'2", 9.5" or 10" on the 9'4", 10" or 10.5" on the 9'6", and 10", 10.5", or 11" on the 9'8". If you prefer a noseriding pivot, go with the Sallas Catwalk — 10" works across all sizes, with the option to size down for smaller boards or up for longer ones.
